The Mere Wedding - June 4th 2022 - Ian & Toni

'It was fate.'

I just want to begin with saying that at this wedding, you could not only see the love but you could feel the love between Toni & Ian. And when you're capturing this sort of love, it is a complete and utter joy and what the job is about.

It was a full team event for us with myself on photo and Laurence on film.

We arrived at The Mere Golf Resort bright and early - the day was set to be a scorcher. Blue skies and sunshine are such a welcomed addition to a wedding day, especially at a venue with such beautiful grounds.

Hair and make up was already underway when we joined Toni and her girls for bridal prep. The morning was super chilled and Isaac, Toni & Ian's boy, was good as gold pottering around, even enjoying bath time (- Mummy duties never end, not even on your wedding day). Bridesman Andrew provided the laughs with his nail polish and the group enjoyed some breakfast before the pace ramped up.

We nipped across to the guys mid morning to capture some groom prep, Toni had arranged for Ian to receive a surprise Tag watch gift whilst we were there and a letter from bride to groom made Ian tear up.

Back to the ladies and it was time to put on the dress. Everything ran super smoothly and once ready we did a bridesmaid first look and Grandad of the bride first look shot too.

The ceremony was lovely - full of love, warmth, laughter and smiles. Straight afterwards we headed outside for a confetti shot and family portraits. Then myself, Laurence and the newlyweds where whisked away in a golf buggy for couple photos.

The sun continued to shine which leant itself so nicely to the venues outdoor space, which guests seemed to enjoy.

Time for speeches and Grandad kicked them off with some beautiful words about his very much loved Granddaughter Toni and their special bond, next was grooms speech and then the grand finale was a double whammy two best man speech which included, shots!

Just before evening celebrations could begin we took the girls, the boys and 5 bottles of bubbles onto the field and did a champagne spray - covering, everyone and the cameras! at this point no one cared that they were bit sticky and you just know that the night will be a blast.

As the sun set it was time for first dance to James Arthurs, say you wont let go and as Toni mouthed the words 'you make me so happy' to Ian, I can only imagine the happy future they're going to have together.

Thank you for trusting us to capture your day.
