It was third time lucky for Sammy & Paul due to two previously postponed dates and their day was finally here.
I arrived at Statham Lodge early morning to bright blue skies. Hair and make up was underway as Sammy and the ladies pampered and chatted the morning away.
At midday I met with Paul and his groomsmen, who were sat outside under a tree, beers in hand, having a read through (or writing?!) their speeches. Practice makes perfect. A few photos with them and I knew they'd be great fun to be around for the day ahead.
Back up to the girls and it was time to get on the dress of dreams. We did a first look father + step father of the bride shot which ended in tears for Samantha, it was a lovely moment.
Now lets get married!
Paul & Sammy really wanted their ceremony outside and the weather gods had been listening, it was glorious!
The ceremony itself was beautiful, signing of the reg and then out front for a confetti shot and drinks reception.
After some family photos we nipped off for some couple shots and to hang their padlock on the gate along with hundreds of others - ace idea. It was then time for speeches; Father of the Bride, followed by Paul then the Best Men.
We then snuck off with the groomsmen for some shots of them together. These four best friends were no holds (or holes, pokey bum what?) barred. We had lots of hugs and lots of bum squeezing, which resulted in some of my fave photos in the gallery.
Evening rolled in and it was time to party. Cake cutting then first dance followed by dancing the night away.
To a lovely couple - Paul & Samantha, I hope that you're day was worth waiting for and it was everything you dreamt that it would be - it certainly looked it.
