The dreamiest venue for the dreamiest wedding!
Jono & Kimberley had this fairytale wedding planned from way back in 2019 and boy, was it worth the wait.
We arrived in Northumberland early early doors to the gals getting ready in a beautiful space at the venue. Beams, sash windows, shutters, fountains, thatched roof, ornate ceilings - not one corner of this place had been untouched or unplanned, everything was crafted down to the minute details.
Just magnificant.
Bridal prep was properly chilled all morning and nothing changed when I went to meet Jono who was equally laid back whilst getting ready. Kimberley got into her dress in the bridal suite and we had a nice, calm half an hour with a few photos and then it was time to get hitched.
I would describe the ceremony as one of the most intimate I've been a part of, not because of the amount of people but just because of the feeling. As the bridal party made their way down the aisle the flower girls gave Jono a cuddle, whilst Jono had a laugh with MOH as she got emotional. An acoustic version of Champagne Supernova played in the background as Kimberley made her entrance. The pair were clearly ecstatic to see each other at the top of the aisle as it resonates in the gallery, an almost 'we made it, we're here' exchange of looks.
We had confetti shots as J&K came back down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Simpson and then straight outside for a group shot. We spent the next couple of hours having some fun with THAT mantlepeice. I brought along some ladders and Kimberley climbed up to get the iconic venue shot, shortly followed by Jono for a laugh!
Before the wedding breakfast commenced we nipped outside for a champagne spray which was SO fun. Then it was time for the speeches. Father of the bride, followed by Jono then finished so nicely by best man Ash.
As a coach of guests arrived from Carlisle it was party time. Now, as soon as Kimberley & Jono mentioned about them being MASSIVE music lovers and very much into their Courteeners, Oasis, Smiths, Stone Roses, etc - I knew this wedding would have the playlist of dreams. And even though their band pulled out at the last minute, they pulled it back out of the bag and smashed the evening.
