Sarah & Josh asked me to photograph their wedding at the incredibly beautiful DoubleTree Hilton in Chester over a year ago as I had previously had the pleasure of photographing their little girl Maya.
I set off to Chester on crisp, blue sky Friday morning to arrive nice and early to capture the mornings bridal prep. It has been a freakishly warm February so far and what a treat the weather gave Sarah & Josh on their wedding day!
The day began with hair and make up preparations (@bridal_h_and_m_of_cheshire) in a gorgeous suite at the hotel with Sarah, her Mum & her bridesmaids. I captured laughs, smiles and some tears! I then went down to visit the groom Josh, who was with his best man Lee - he wanted some photo's of them playing pool before the ceremony and then we nipped outside for some outdoor pictures too!
The ceremony was held in the Abbey Suite, a most breathtaking venue with bare brick walls and huge ceilings with beams for days, with an added wow from the twinkling fairy lights draped from the ceiling.
Flower girl Maya and daughter of Sarah & Josh played a huge part in the day and had everybody cooing over her throughout.
The wedding breakfast kicked off with speeches, food and then some outdoor pictures for Sarah & Josh.
A wonderful day ended on a high with the first dance, a father & daughter dance, cake cutting (gorgeous cake by @rosiescakekitchen) and tossing of the bouquet (well done Debbie, Mother of the Bride on the catch!!).
