Didsbury House Hotel Wedding - Merl & Jonathan

Updated: Aug 25, 2019

Melissa & Jonathan set the date and planned their whole wedding start to finish in just 3 months - and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Didsbury House Hotel & Eleven Didsbury Park are beautiful venues (and conveniently, just a stones throw from the Bride & Grooms home!) and I was extremely excited to photograph this wedding as I just knew it was set to be ace!

The weather forecast had predicted rain for the whole day. I was SO surprised & happy when I woke to blue skies and sunshine on my drive down from Scotland to Manchester.

I started the day with the ladies in the bridal suite, which was to die for - it had not one, but two roll top baths in it (perfect for the morning after!) I then shot over to Didsbury High Street to meet Jonathan and his two Best Men at Expo for a pint over breakfast to kick start their day.

Bridal prep was the most chilled I'd ever seen, so relaxed and lovely, it definitely set the tone for the day.

The ceremony was in a gorgeous suite with big bay windows, the room was bursting at the seams with guests and the couple smiled and laughed all the way through their vows. However their oldest son Huey stole the show for me, when he danced down the aisle ahead of his Mum to Kasabians, You're in Love With a Psycho.

Straight after the ceremony we headed out for a group shot with the whole party with the added WOW from a bubble machine! Then everyone walked down to Eleven Didsbury Park for BBQ & speeches.

Back to the Hotel for evening celebrations. Merl & Jonathan took to the dance floor to Ho Hey by The Lumineers.

I wish you guys all the love and happiness in the world.
