'A Lancashire Lad & a Yorkshire Girl', what a perfect pair.
I travelled to the beautiful, picturesque town of Darley Dale ahead of Stacey & Phils long anticipated tipi wedding - I couldn't wait for this one!
I arrived at Stacey's Mums home where bridal prep was in full swing with hair and make up well underway. Lots of gift giving, giggles and some tears throughout the course of the morning - really set a great tone for the rest of the day.
The VW camper arrived to take bride and mum of the bride to St Helen's Church which was just a stones throw from where the tipi was set up on a beautiful village green. Arriving at the church where groom Phil was waiting with his best men, shortly followed by the stunning bride. The ceremony was perfect, even with masks on we had lots of laughs, mainly at best man Johns expense with his invisible ring - I hope you've got that proudly displayed on your fridge as instructed!
A confetti shot followed by some family portraits at the church and then we headed to the tipi to get the party started - and that.. they did. I had a ball photographing all of the details at the venue - so much thought, time, effort and love had been poured into everything.
After a Pimms and Prosecco (and a beer bath!) drinks reception it was time for food - courtesy of the Hip Hop Chip Shop. Me and videographer Jo enjoyed our fish & chips, thanks guys!
It was now time for speeches - 1 hour 20 mins of the most INCREDIBLE speeches. Ive got to say, the amount of LOVE in the room (tipi) was undeniable - maid of honour Jen kicked them off in style with her declaration of love for Stacey (best friend g o a l s), then mother of the bride, best man, two sisters and rounded off with groom Phil. Ace!
Before evening celebrations commenced, we went outside for a little bit of fun with a champagne spray. Phil took charge and decided to turn round and SOAK everybody. What a guy (his poor buddies) - not that anyone was complaining - such a highlight.
With a bridal party full of dancers, I knew the evening would be fantastic. The dancing began with the new Mr & Mrs Taylor's first dance, shortly joined by their two nieces. The band playing got the party going with some absolute belters to the point where the party went from the dance floor - to the tables.
Phil and Stacey, thank you for trusting me with photographing what was an epic day. I wish you so much love for your future together.
