Wow, wow, wow - what a wedding for Rach & Beanman.
This was third time lucky for these two after their two previous dates didn't work due to restrictions. And it was worth the wait.
Sunshine - tick, unlimited numbers of family & friends - tick, grooms ska band back for one night only - TICK.
I arrived at The Gables, Gretna for bridal prep. The ladies were relaxing over breakfast and the vibes were super chilled. Backwards and forwards between hair and make up, and before we knew it it was time to get into the dresses. Packed into one room, 5 fans on the go due to the July heat and all the bridal party were nearly ready.
Waiting downstairs was father of the bride, we did a first look shot which was super emotional. There were quite a few tears shed at this point.
Out front a charming, red, VW camper was waiting to escort everybody into Annan to The Corner House Hotel for Rachael to finally get hitched.
The sun continued to shine all day long, as we pulled into the venue everybody was there waiting, the room was jam packed full of love.
A lovely ceremony hosted by celebrant (@...), then straight outside for confetti and family shots.
We went with the bridesmaids and groomsmen down to the river for some photos before everyone sat down to eat.
Back up to the Corner House were it was time for speeches. Father of the bride had everyone howling over the underpants story and the cherry on top was Best Man Bob (aka Plan B) who owned the room (and Beanman) with his brilliant speech.
After everyone had eaten, myself and the newlyweds snuck off down the road to get some photos with their fur babies seen as they lived a 2 minute walk away from the venue.
Evening soon came and it was time for the first dance. The room was heaving with friends and family and it was almost impossible for the day to get better, but it did. More from Jim, back for one night only - the grooms Ska band had dusted off their instruments and played an insane show. Ive never seen a dance floor so full at 8pm, the atmosphere was electric.
An awesome day for an awesome couple. Thank you for having me and trusting me to capture it, I had a blast.
