Lizzie & Steven asked me to photograph their wedding day over a year ago.
I love photographing at Beeston Manor. It's a beautiful family run converted barn, set within acres of stunning countryside.
The day began with pouring rain, it was relentless for most of the morning. This didn't dampen any of the bridal parties spirits as I photographed them over a breakfast of bacon barms as they reminisced about old times!
The groomsmen arrived mid morning and they were on top form and brought a real buzz to the venue. We did some photos with them then I headed back to the ladies for makeup and hair shots.
We then headed to the bridal suite for the group to get dressed and we had a few more photographs before heading up to the ceremony room.
I adore shooting ceremonies in this venue as the lighting is incredible in this part of the building. The beams, fairy-lights and flowers lend themselves amazingly to the perfect picture!
After the ceremony, as if by magic, blue skies appeared and we all headed outside for group shots and bride & groom pictures. The rain seemed to vanish for the rest of the day which was wonderful!
Speeches and the wedding breakfast followed which were led by DJ Raf who compered the day. Then into the evening when the newlyweds played a game of Mr & Mrs and headed up a 'Love Train' around the room which led all of their guests onto the dancefloot to witness them dance for the first time as Mr & Mrs Ashby to Tom Walkers 'Just You & I'.
Lizzie & Steven, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day and all of the best wishes for your future and on the birth of your baby girl in October.
